Bun, Butter n Jam at G. Gopaul Dairy, Philips Rd, Broadway

This was the place I wanted to try when going all the way to Broadway. Having seen posts about the bun butter jam here, I had to check it out for myself. Reached around 1. Found it after a bit of searching about. There's no real indication that a food joint exists at this spot. Take the first right entering Broadway road and you reach Philips street. There will be a lot of small shop boards on the right and you'll see the board hidden in plain sight.

The view of the road from Opp the shop looking right. An NIIT board is seen.

A narrow passageway later (watch out for exposed electric box n wires!) you'll see the elderly owner himself behind the glass front making the only item available here, the famed bun, butter Jam!

Only two people can fit in to sit and eat!

An idol of Lord Krishna is also aptly placed in the shelf. There were two helpers too. A big bowl full of white desi buttter was right in front from which dollops were spread onto the soft yet firm sugar topped bun. Heard the buns are carefully sourced. And then goes the jam.

Had just one BBJ to try it right there. Pretty great, surprisingly heavy but I wish the jam had something extra too. It's the usual jam used in most bakeries if Im not mistaken. Cost: 25 rs. I think there is also a 20 rs version not sure. Took two of them parcel which was smartly packed in a paper lined with plastic and tied with rope.

They also had buttermilk which just got over even by 1 pm when I went.

The highlight here is the butter which is produced inhouse. Generously coated and having no weird aftertaste like some of the white butter I've tasted. Personally prefer slightly salted this was unsalted.
